The Restrained Love Viewer and it's cousin RLVa (found in Phoenix, Firestorm and Imprudence viewers) work to make bondage and submission scenarios more real by preventing the user from escaping from traps, cages, poses and other equipment. It allows the submissive to be under the complete control of a dominant. Things, such as teleporting, IM, chat and access to various items can be stopped. A submissive or slave using the device can be confined and captured. The viewer works with a RLV relay (relays are available throughout SL, often for free) or can be integrated into a device, at Toys both the Amethyst collar and the Mars Ring of Compliance contain relays.
Also locked on you by the viewer are the cuffs, barcode and brand. You may edit these items to make them fit better but they cannot be removed. The items you are required to wear are shown here.
If you are reading this in the library, you should already be in RLV and under the control of a Mars Ring. At the trainee stage of your training, the Mars Ring has been set to restrict your ability to use the World Map among other things. Once you complete the first 4 portals you will graduate and be instructed to obtain a less restricted version of the Ring at the Update Center.
When you use the Mars Ring a dominant will have access to your clothing, if you set up a #RLV folder. The following videos show how to create the folder and populate it with outfits. This will become valuable to you as you continue your training as you will be able to add outfits you receive for each of the groups in which you become certified (French Maids, Italian Top Models, Urban Schoolgirls etc.).
